Beta v. 0.5 out now

BUILD A WORLD beta v. 0.5

After many months of hard work, we are glad to present the first beta 0.5 version of the online sandbox construction game Build A World. The game combines highly developed graphics with an advanced gameplay, run by a new block engine, created by the Build A World developers.

Build A World is set in the natural, modern world. Players enter a brand new world with modern tools, and with the ability to make modern building materials, machines, buildings and other constructions.

The basic idea is to collect and refine natural resources (iron, rock, sand, copper, steel, gold, coal, lava, bauxite etc.), and use it to manufacture different building blocks (wood, concrete, bricks, asphalt, glass, plastic, steel, explosives ,detonators, lights, batteries, pumps, lamps, computers, small electronics etc.).

Build A World can be played alone, or online with friends and foes. The online function is one of the key features of the game. Players have their own online server, in addition to LAN servers, so that it is possible to invite other players into your world, or join theirs with a few clicks.

The construction part of the game is supported by another key feature, the Online Models Library, which allows the players to save constructions and models, and exchange models with other players.

Build A World is a 100% self financed indie-project, and the team behind all contribute with different set of skills. The project is by no means finished, and this is only the beta v. 0.5. A long series of updates and additions are planned for the coming weeks, months and years.
